Through a combination of expert speakers (discussing everything from gear to parenting tips to safety and other hot topics for new and expecting parents), influencers (providing opinions and recommendations on products, parenting, and more), and entertainers to keep kids happy and engaged, our content provides tremendous value to attendees. Keynote Speaker: Natalie Diaz

Natalie Diaz founded Twiniversity, the world’s leading support network for multiple birth families, in 2009. She’s become the global influencer for this small niche community. Dr. Jill Campbell, Staff Psychologist and Mommy & Me Curriculum Director, The Pump Station & Nurtury

Dr. Jill Campbell is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in early child development, parenting and women’s issues. As an intern at The Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services, Jill worked in their therapeutic nursery school with special-needs preschoolers. Dr. Campbell completed her post-doctoral training at Cedars Sinai Early Childhood Center in Los Angeles. Jill has worked in private practice and for a group pediatric practice in Encino. In addition, for several years Jill facilitated psychotherapy groups for New Directions Eating Disorders Center in Sherman Oaks. Currently Dr. Campbell is the staff psychologist and Mommy & Me curriculum director at The Pump Station & Nurtury®. She provides a variety of services to new mothers and their families including psychotherapy sessions, parenting consultations, support groups and classes. 

Heather Conniff, Shegerian Conniff LLP

Heather Conniff is a founding member of Shegerian Conniff LLP. Her practice focuses on employment law and includes all aspects of case management from initiation through Trial, with particular emphasis in law and motion, litigation, and appeals. Ms. Conniff has extensive experience and success in drafting and arguing substantive motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment, Demurrers, and Post-Trial Motions. Ms. Conniff also has successfully briefed and argued appeals in both the California Court of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Conniff places special emphasis on the personal investment of vindicating her client’s rights to achieve the best possible resolution and outcome for their cases. A magna cum laude graduate of Whittier Law School, Ms. Conniff worked for the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Staff Attorneys Office, as well as the Department of Justice, Office of the United States Trustees during her law school tenure. Ms. Conniff also served as Executive Editor of Whittier Law Review. Prior to law school, Ms. Conniff attended the University of California, Irvine, where she received both a B.S. in Biological Science and a B.A. in Political Science.

Ms. Conniff is licensed to practice in the State of California. She is admitted to the State Bar of California, the United States District Court for Central District of California, as well as the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She also is a member of a number of legal memberships and affiliations, including Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles American Bar Association and the Los Angeles and Orange County Bar Associations.

Dr. Stephanie Canale, M.D., Founder, Lactation Lab

Dr. Canale is from Montreal, Canada, and earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from McGill University. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at UCLA. After medical residency, she joined the teaching faculty at the UCLA Family Health Center, before joining the Santa Monica Parkside office. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages, especially families with young babies and young adults. Dr. Canale is a Member of the American Board of Family Medicine.

She founded Lactation Lab out of a personal need to understand what was in her breast milk she in turn wanted to help mother’s optimize their milk and baby’s nutrition. She is married with two young children and despite loving the weather in Southern California still enjoys winter sports such as skiing and playing ice hockey.

Dr. Tiffany Fischman, MD FAAP, Calabasas Pediatrics and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

Dr. Tiffany Fischman, MD FAAP is a general pediatrician at Calabasas Pediatrics and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She previously worked at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston where she practiced general pediatrics and newborn medicine and held the position of Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.  

In her free time she enjoys running, traveling, blogging on the latest topics in children’s health and spending time with her husband and three young children, all under 5. 

Joshua Dilts, Lead Car Seat Product Manager at Chicco & Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician

A passionate advocate for child passenger safety, Joshua Dilts joined Chicco as the lead Car Seat Product Manager in 2014. As a father of three, Josh’s real-life experience provides continued inspiration and motivation for creating solutions that make it easier for families to travel safely with car seats. 

As a key player in development projects at Chicco, Josh is involved in all aspects of car safety, from design to messaging, consumer instruction, community engagement, and more – all rooted in a passion and understanding for keeping children safer during travel throughout each stage of growth and development. As a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, Josh will help educate parents at the Chicago Baby Show on how to easily install, adjust, and secure their child correctly in their car seat, every time.

Chad Ekstrom

Chad Ekstrom, Kanga Care

Chad Ekstrom has been changing cloth diapers for over 11 years. Fathering 5 amazing kiddos has proven to make Chad a bit of an expert in the cloth diaper community. From soup to nuts, Chad has supported Julie (wife to Chad, founder and CEO of Kanga Care, and owner of multiple diaper patents) from the early days of cutting and tracing fabric while making diapers at home, to current day developing of Kanga Care’s international presence by partnering with distributors near and far.

Corky Harvey, Co-Founder, The Pump Station & Nurtury

Corky Harvey, MS, RN, IBCLC is the co-founder of The Pump Station & Nurtury®, the first new parent resource center of its kind. She is a registered nurse with a Master’s degree in maternal/newborn nursing from the University of Maryland. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, a certified Happiest Baby on the Block educator, and was a long-time Childbirth Educator. Corky does one-on-one lactation consultations, teaches Prenatal Breastfeeding, Baby Care, and new Grandparents classes. One of her favorite things to do is facilitate the New Mothers Breastfeeding Support Groups. She was on the faculty of the UCLA Lactation Educator and Consultant programs for many years and still lectures at hospitals, conferences and parent venues. Corky has three grown children who were breastfed and she loves to claim that their intelligence is linked to this. In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband Dean-especially to Germany where her two darling grandsons live. She loves to sing, and is a member of an International championship women’s barbershop chorus. 

Conner Herman & Kira Ryan, Co-Founders, Dream Team Baby

Conner Herman and Kira Ryan are city moms and lovers of sleep who, after unsuccessfully following the advice of countless sleep books, were convinced that there had to be an easier way to teach babies how to sleep through the night. They recruited a board of medical experts to tap their collective intelligence on sleep and oversee Dream Team Baby, a unique sleep consulting business that is tailored to modern families’ needs. For 13 years, their “Dream Team” has helped thousands of babies (and their parents) across the country get some well-deserved sleep. 

Conner and Kira are the authors of The Dream Sleeper:  A Three-Part Plan for Getting Your Baby to Love Sleep and are the sleep experts for The Bump.com, a national parenting resource.  They have appeared on several national television programs including “The Today Show,” “The Early Show,” “Good Morning America” and ParentsTV. Their advice is regularly featured in parents’ magazines, blogs and other publications.

Debora Milioni BSN, MSN, MBA, IBCLC – The Pump Station & Nurtury

Debora Milioni, BSN, MSN, MBA, IBCLC received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing as well as her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Federal University of Sao Carlos, Brazil. She also received her MBA from Fundacao Getulio Vargas, Brazil. She developed her passion for mother/baby care and breastfeeding while in the University, where she was part of a Breastfeeding Study and Research Program. Her passion flourished when she worked as a Registered Nurse and Continuing Education Coordinator at a large Maternity Center in Campinas, Brazil. In the US, she has worked in child care, has received her 90 hours of Lactation Specific Education from Marie Biancuzzo, has received lactation specific clinical practice from experts at the Pump Station and also has her training in Postpartum Doula from DONA International.  In 2018, she became a mother. Her son Gus was a late premature baby but has been breastfed since day 1 and Debora now appreciates the effort, the struggles and the joy of breastfeeding. She embraces all the challenges that come with breastfeeding and looks to meet each mother where she is at. 

Richard Pass

Richard Pass, RN, BS, Founder, Save a Little Life

Richard is committed to educating families who are expecting, already have infants, toddlers and need to know the necessary skills to save a life. His courses have a section on prevention – which is where parents will be spending most of their effort at home and elsewhere. Save A Little Life is committed to making sure all participants have a functional capacity to perform the necessary skills as well as how best to access and prepare for paramedic arrival.

Cheryl Petran, CEO & Owner, The Pump Station & Nurtury

A former buyer for Target Corporation and Consultant for brands like Disney and Mattel, Cheryl Petran left the corporate world after the birth of her daughter Daniela and applied her expertise to help expand on the curriculum and services offered at a parenting & breastfeeding resource center in her community. Today, that center, The Pump Station & Nurtury® provides education and support to over 550 expecting and new parents weekly in their Santa Monica and Hollywood locations. Now CEO and Owner, she and founder Corky Harvey continue in furthering their mission to nurture, support, and empower, all new parents with compassionate service, quality information, and outstanding products. 

Jennifer Pitkin, IBCLC, Ardo USA

Jennifer Pitkin, IBCLC, is the Director of Customer Service and Social Media at Ardo USA.

After struggling to feed her baby and needing to plan to return to work still facing challenges, Jennifer decided to switch her career path and pursue becoming a Lactation Consultant (also called an IBCLC). Her breastfeeding circumstances weren’t extreme, but issues could be traced back to lack of knowledge by healthcare providers in this realm. Now, Jennifer travels teaching parents that a positive experience with breastmilk feeding is the norm.  Things should go well when parents have resources and parents have the knowledge to reach out immediately for support. She will help parents navigate those resources so the whole family can truly enjoy this experience. Jennifer has extensive experience in lactation with public health office, hospital, midwifery clinic, and in private practice and truly loves supporting parents.

Cortney Shegerian, Shegerian Conniff LLP

Cortney Shegerian is a founding member of Shegerian Conniff LLP and lead trial lawyer. Her practice focuses on employment law and includes all aspects of case management from inception through trial, with particular emphasis in jury trials and case resolution. She has extensive experience and success in mediation, all aspects of litigation, trial preparation and jury trials. Throughout her career as an attorney, she has tried numerous cases in both State and Federal Court. Ms. Shegerian has argued in the California Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of California. Ms. Shegerian places her focus on discovering each client’s personal experience in order obtain the best possible outcome for their case.

Dr. Robert C. Hamilton, M.D

Robert C. Hamilton, M.D., has over three decades of experience as a pediatrician and isthe owner and founder of Pacific Ocean Pediatrics, established in 1996 in Santa Monica, California.

Dr. Hamilton is also the creator of the “Hamilton Hold,” a method for soothing crying babies seen by over 36 million people in his instructional video on YouTube. In addition, Dr. Bob runs the LA Marathon annually to support his medical mission organization, which has been making annual trips to both Africa and Central America for over 20 years. He’s also the proud father of 6 children and is grandpa to 9 more little ones. He lives in Santa Monica with his high school sweetheart, Leslie, to whom he has been married 45 years.
